MCP server that wraps the Dagster GraphQL API — manage runs, assets, schedules, sensors, and backfills from any MCP client
USGS/EMSC Earthquakes is installed from its publisher's own source and answers where it runs, so this marketplace is not in the path of a single call. There is no address here to send one to, and a panel that pretended otherwise would be showing you an answer we made up. Install it and call it from your own client — the Installation tab has the entry for each one.
What it does
Search USGS and EMSC seismic data — real-time feeds, event queries and earthquake counts.
Quickstart
# 1 — add it to Claude Code
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http usgs-emsc-earthquakes-mcp https://earthquake.caseyjhand.com/mcp
# 2 — ask your agent for something these tools do
# earthquake_get_feed, earthquake_search, earthquake_get_event and 1 more
USGS/EMSC Earthquakes costs nothing on mcprush: there is no plan to choose here, no cap to set and nothing mcprush can bill you for.
Collected from a public index. Nobody has claimed this account, so nothing here was written by its author — claim it if it is yours.
Where are you running it?
Every route below installs the same thing and ends at the same approval screen. Nothing here runs on your machine and nothing runs on ours: this server answers at its publisher’s own address, and what you install is the connection straight to it.
This is a public server: it answers at its publisher’s own address and this marketplace is not in the path. Claude Code registers it in one command; --scope user makes it available in every project. The transport below is http, read from the address; if the publisher says otherwise, swap that one word.
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http usgs-emsc-earthquakes-mcp https://earthquake.caseyjhand.com/mcpReconnect, or start a new session, and the tools appear in the model’s tool list.
One config entry pointing straight at the publisher’s own address — this marketplace is not in the path, and nothing from this listing executes on your machine.
4 tools, with what each one reads, writes and reaches shown before you agree — the same list on every route above. Read the tool surface.

Fetch a USGS pre-computed real-time earthquake feed by magnitude tier and time window. These feeds are CDN-cached by USGS and faster and more available than the query API — use them for "what's happening now" queries. "all" includes microseisms (M<1); "significant" is a USGS curation based on magnitude, felt reports, and PAGER impact estimates. "hour" returns 0–10 events typically; "month" can exc

| time_window | string | no | Time window for the feed. "hour" typically returns 0–10 events; "month" can exceed 10,000 for the "all" tier. Prefer "hour" or "day" for real-time status checks. |

Search earthquakes by time range, magnitude, depth, location radius, PAGER alert level, or felt reports. Supports USGS (global, richer metadata: PAGER, DYFI, ShakeMap) and EMSC, an independent global catalog operated by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre. For location-based queries, provide latitude, longitude, and radius_km together. A rectangular study area is expressed with min_lat

| start_time | string | no | Start of time range as ISO 8601 (e.g. "2026-01-01" or "2026-05-23T00:00:00"). A bare year expands to January 1st and an unpadded month or day is zero-padded, so both sources honor the same window. Def |
| end_time | string | no | End of time range as ISO 8601, in the same forms start_time accepts. Defaults to current time if omitted. |
| min_magnitude | number | no | Minimum magnitude (Richter or equivalent). M2.5+ is felt by some people; M5+ can cause damage; M7+ is major. |
| max_magnitude | number | no | Maximum magnitude. |
| latitude | number | no | Latitude for radius search. Requires longitude and radius_km. |
| longitude | number | no | Longitude for radius search. Requires latitude and radius_km. |
| radius_km | number | no | Search radius in kilometers from the lat/lon point. 100 km covers a metro region; 500 km covers a large country. Max 20001.6, the ceiling USGS enforces. Converted to degrees for EMSC (1° ≈ 111.2 km). |
| min_latitude | number | no | Southern edge of a bounding-box search, in degrees. Independent of the other three box parameters — supply any of them. Must not exceed max_latitude when both are given. |

| min_longitude | number | no | Western edge of a bounding-box search, in degrees. Range extends beyond ±180 so a box can cross the antimeridian (e.g. min_longitude=170, max_longitude=190) — always keep min_longitude at or below max |
| max_longitude | number | no | Eastern edge of a bounding-box search, in degrees. |
| min_depth_km | number | no | Minimum depth in kilometers. Bounded to the documented -100 to 1000 km catalog envelope. Shallow quakes (0–70 km) typically cause more surface damage than deep quakes (>300 km). |
| max_depth_km | number | no | Maximum depth in kilometers. Bounded to the documented -100 to 1000 km catalog envelope. |
| alert_level | string | no | Minimum PAGER alert level. PAGER estimates economic loss and casualties. "green" = minimal impact; "red" = extreme. Only available from USGS. |
| min_felt | integer | no | Minimum number of DYFI (Did You Feel It?) reports. Use to find events with confirmed public impact. Only available from USGS. |
| min_significance | integer | no | Minimum USGS significance score (0–2000+). Combines magnitude, felt reports, and PAGER estimates. Significant events typically score 600+. Only available from USGS. |

Fetch detail for a specific earthquake by USGS event ID. Count earthquakes matching filters without fetching full records. Use for statistical queries ("how many M5+ earthquakes in 2025?") or to gauge result size before calling earthquake_search. Omitting start_time counts only the last 30 days, so pass an explicit range for any period-specific question; queryEcho reports the window and filters the count actually covers. What counts against your monthly calls
| Tool | Unit | Calls used | Out of the allowance |

Nothing here is billable: mcprush charges nothing to install USGS/EMSC Earthquakes or to call it, at any volume.
Two independent axes, because powerful and malicious are different questions. The grade is threat only. The capability level is blast radius, and it is never a penalty on the grade — it is priced as one subtract-only term in the score, where you can see it.
This listing is an address its publisher runs, and you connect to it directly — this marketplace is not in the path. The scanner reads packages and public source, and an address is neither. So there is no grade — not a withheld one, an unmeasured one.
Release history
This is an address its publisher runs: which release it serves is theirs to choose, so there is nothing here to pin. The history below is for reading; the current release on file is 0.3.3.
No release note was published with this version.
One review per account, from a signed-in account that does not publish this listing. Nothing else is asked — you can say what you think before you install it. Publishers can reply once per review, and a review can be edited or deleted by whoever wrote it.
Any signed-in account that does not publish USGS/EMSC Earthquakes can review it, once — before installing it or after. A review from an account that has installed it is marked as one.
Nobody has reviewed this listing. The rating on the card is the mean of the reviews written here and nothing else, so there is no rating until somebody writes the first — which takes a signed-in account that does not publish it, and nothing else.
