MCP Server for Z.AI - A Model Context Protocol server that provides AI capabilities
ModelCostComparison is installed from its publisher's own source and answers where it runs, so this marketplace is not in the path of a single call. There is no address here to send one to, and a panel that pretended otherwise would be showing you an answer we made up. Install it and call it from your own client — the Installation tab has the entry for each one.
What it does
Find AI model pricing, estimate token costs and compare offers. No API key required.
Quickstart
# 1 — add it to Claude Code
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http modelcostcomparison-mcp https://modelcostcomparison.com/api/v1/mcp
# 2 — ask your agent for something these tools do
# list_models, get_model_pricing, calculate_cost and 3 more
ModelCostComparison costs nothing on mcprush: there is no plan to choose here, no cap to set and nothing mcprush can bill you for.
Collected from a public index. Nobody has claimed this account, so nothing here was written by its author — claim it if it is yours.
Where are you running it?
Every route below installs the same thing and ends at the same approval screen. Nothing here runs on your machine and nothing runs on ours: this server answers at its publisher’s own address, and what you install is the connection straight to it.
This is a public server: it answers at its publisher’s own address and this marketplace is not in the path. Claude Code registers it in one command; --scope user makes it available in every project. The transport below is http, as the publisher's own manifest declares it.
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http modelcostcomparison-mcp https://modelcostcomparison.com/api/v1/mcpReconnect, or start a new session, and the tools appear in the model’s tool list.
One config entry pointing straight at the publisher’s own address — this marketplace is not in the path, and nothing from this listing executes on your machine.
6 tools, with what each one reads, writes and reaches shown before you agree — the same list on every route above. Read the tool surface.
Tool surface
What the model actually sees. Descriptions are diffed on every release — see version history.
Use first when you know a model name or provider but need exact pricing-offer IDs for pricing or calculations. Search recorded labels and API IDs; case, spacing and punctuation variants are accepted. Multiple tariffs are returned as separate choices. Defaults to current reviewed offers; check costing_supported before calculating. This discovers pricing offers, not model capability recommendations.
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| query | string | no | Optional model name, recorded label or API ID to search. Use when the exact offer ID is unknown; omit to browse. Matching tolerates case, spacing and punctuation differences. |
| provider_id | string | no | Optional exact provider_id returned by list_providers or offer identity. Use to restrict results to one provider; omit for all providers. |
| pricing_tier | string | no | Optional exact tariff name from offer identity, such as standard or peak. Use to restrict results to a tariff; omit to include all tariffs. |
| status | string | no | Use current (default) for reviewed offers. Choose expired, unreviewed or all only to inspect catalogue records; those records may not support calculations. |
| limit | integer | no | Maximum offers per page to return: 1–50; default 20. |
| cursor | string | no | Opaque next_cursor returned by list_models. Omit on the first page; on later pages repeat the original filters and limit unchanged. Restart without a cursor if it expires or the dataset changes. |
Use after list_models when you need the rates, tariff identity, sources and freshness of one exact offer, without calculating a workload. Supply the returned model_id. Prices are recorded USD text-token rates; expired or unreviewed rates are informational only. Use calculate_cost for a workload estimate.
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| model_id | string | yes | Exact pricing-offer ID returned by list_models or find_cheapest_models. Do not substitute a display name or guessed API model name. |
Use when you have one exact offer ID and token usage and want its USD text-token subtotal. Discover the ID with list_models first. Total input includes cached input; do not add cached tokens twice. Excludes cache writes, storage, search, tool fees and taxes. Requires current reviewed, supported rates; does not invoke a model. Use compare_model_costs for several known offers.
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| model_id | string | yes | Exact pricing-offer ID returned by list_models or find_cheapest_models. Do not substitute a display name or guessed API model name. |
| usage | object | yes | Token totals for the period or scenario being estimated, not dollars or request counts. Supply input and output separately; cached input is a subset of total input. |
| expected_dataset_revision | string | no | Optional consistency check: copy meta.dataset_revision from a prior tool response to require the same current pricing snapshot. Omit to use the current snapshot. A mismatch returns DATASET_CHANGED; re |
Use when you already have 2–20 exact offer IDs and want their USD text-token subtotals for the same usage and pricing snapshot. Equal token counts are a comparison assumption, not equivalent tokenization of the same text. Returns supported results and per-offer exclusions. Excludes cache writes, storage, search, tool fees and taxes; does not rank quality. Use find_cheapest_models to search without
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| model_ids | array | yes | Distinct exact pricing-offer IDs returned by discovery. Choose 2–20 offers to compare; do not supply display names. |
| usage | object | yes | Token totals for the period or scenario being estimated, not dollars or request counts. |
Use when you know your token workload but have not selected offers: rank eligible current reviewed offers by USD text-token subtotal and return their exact IDs. Defaults to standard tariffs. Cheapest means within the eligible catalogue and supplied filters, not best quality or the entire market. Equal token counts do not imply tokenizer equivalence. Excludes cache writes, storage, search, tool fee

| pricing_tier | string | no | Optional exact tariff name from offer identity, such as standard or peak. Omit to rank standard tariffs. |
| min_input_tokens_per_request | integer | no | Optional minimum reviewed per-request pricing input limit an offer must support. Unknown or smaller limits are excluded. This is not the model context window and does not replace usage.max_input_token |
| limit | integer | no | Maximum ranked results to return: 1–20; default 10. |

Use to discover provider IDs and catalogue coverage before filtering model searches. Returns distinct API model counts, offer counts and current supported input/output rate ranges in USD per million tokens. The two rate minima may belong to different offers. For a workload estimate use find_cheapest_models or calculate_cost; ranges are not capability rankings.

What counts against your monthly calls
| Tool | Unit | Calls used | Out of the allowance |

Nothing here is billable: mcprush charges nothing to install ModelCostComparison or to call it, at any volume.
Two independent axes, because powerful and malicious are different questions. The grade is threat only. The capability level is blast radius, and it is never a penalty on the grade — it is priced as one subtract-only term in the score, where you can see it.
This listing is an address its publisher runs, and you connect to it directly — this marketplace is not in the path. The scanner reads packages and public source, and an address is neither: the repository linked on this page is where this record was collected from, not a copy of what the address serves, so it is not graded in its place. So there is no grade — not a withheld one, an unmeasured one.
Release history
This is an address its publisher runs: which release it serves is theirs to choose, so there is nothing here to pin. The history below is for reading; the current release on file is 1.0.1.
No release note was published with this version.
One review per account, from a signed-in account that does not publish this listing. Nothing else is asked — you can say what you think before you install it. Publishers can reply once per review, and a review can be edited or deleted by whoever wrote it.
Any signed-in account that does not publish ModelCostComparison can review it, once — before installing it or after. A review from an account that has installed it is marked as one.
Nobody has reviewed this listing. The rating on the card is the mean of the reviews written here and nothing else, so there is no rating until somebody writes the first — which takes a signed-in account that does not publish it, and nothing else.
