Comprehensive Model Context Protocol server for managing Home Assistant through AI assistants.
Mahonia is installed from its publisher's own source and answers where it runs, so this marketplace is not in the path of a single call. There is no address here to send one to, and a panel that pretended otherwise would be showing you an answer we made up. Install it and call it from your own client — the Installation tab has the entry for each one.
What it does
Read and edit Mahonia backpacking gear lists via share and edit links; no account needed.
Quickstart
# 1 — add it to Claude Code
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http mahonia-mcp https://mahonia.app/mcp
# 2 — ask your agent for something these tools do
# get_list, get_list_markdown, search_catalog and 4 more
Mahonia costs nothing on mcprush: there is no plan to choose here, no cap to set and nothing mcprush can bill you for.
Collected from a public index. Nobody has claimed this account, so nothing here was written by its author — claim it if it is yours.
Where are you running it?
Every route below installs the same thing and ends at the same approval screen. Nothing here runs on your machine and nothing runs on ours: this server answers at its publisher’s own address, and what you install is the connection straight to it.
This is a public server: it answers at its publisher’s own address and this marketplace is not in the path. Claude Code registers it in one command; --scope user makes it available in every project. The transport below is http, as the publisher's own manifest declares it.
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http mahonia-mcp https://mahonia.app/mcpReconnect, or start a new session, and the tools appear in the model’s tool list.
One config entry pointing straight at the publisher’s own address — this marketplace is not in the path, and nothing from this listing executes on your machine.
7 tools, with what each one reads, writes and reaches shown before you agree — the same list on every route above. Read the tool surface.
Tool surface
What the model actually sees. Descriptions are diffed on every release — see version history.
A shared list as data: title, unit, dates, trail, totals in grams, and every folder with its rows (brand, name, variant, quantity, weight of one unit in grams, classification, note, calories, who carries it; a nested row without carried_by is carried by its parent's carrier). Takes a share code or share link. A list too large to return whole comes back cut and says so in a truncated field: notes g
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| share_code | string | yes | The list's share code, or its share link (mahonia.app/s/CODE). Not an edit link. |
The same list as Markdown: one table per folder and a totals block, the text the site's own Markdown export produces. Takes a share code or share link. A list too large to return whole loses rows off the end of the tables, a line under them says how many, and the totals still count every row. A list's title, author, notes, folder and item names, brands, variants, gear types, day labels, people and

| share_code | string | yes | The list's share code, or its share link (mahonia.app/s/CODE). Not an edit link. |
Fuzzy search of Mahonia's cited gear catalog by brand, product or kind of gear ("duplex", "zpacks", "quilt"). Each result carries a catalog id, the cited weight in grams and whether it is verified. Use get_catalog_product for every variant of one product.
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| query | string | yes | Two characters or more; a single Chinese character is enough. |
| limit | integer | no | Up to 25. Default 12. |
One product's variants (sizes, lengths, temperature ratings) with the cited weight and source of each. Give a catalog id from search_catalog, or the brand and product name.
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| id | integer | no | A catalog row id; its siblings are the other variants. |
| brand | string | no | — |
| name | string | no | The product name without brand or variant. |
Creates a list and returns its edit link and share link. Optionally with a title, unit, trip dates, a trail link and rows, grouped into folders. Keep the edit link: it is the only way back into the list.
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| title | string | no | — |
| unit | string | no | The unit the list displays in. Weights are in grams regardless. |
| start_date | string | no | YYYY-MM-DD |
| end_date | string | no | YYYY-MM-DD |
| trail_url | string | no | An http(s) link to the route or trail page. |
| trail_label | string | no | What to call the trail, when the link's own name won't do. |
| trail_distance_km | number | no | — |
| folders | array | no | Folders in order, each with its default classification and, optionally, its rows. |
| items | array | no | Rows not placed through a folder above; each may name its folder. |
Adds rows to an existing list. Takes the list's edit link and the rows; each row may name a folder, and a folder that doesn't exist yet is created.
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| edit_link | string | yes | The list's edit link, whole (mahonia.app/e/CODE#token). The part after # is the write capability. |
| items | array | yes | — |
| folder | string | no | A folder name for every row that doesn't name its own. |
| again | boolean | no | A call identical to one made in the last ten minutes is taken as a retry and adds nothing: the earlier result comes back with repeated set. Pass true to add the same rows a second time on purpose. |
Sets any of a list's title, display unit, trip dates and trail on an existing list. Only the fields given change; an empty string clears a date or the trail. Takes the list's edit link.
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| edit_link | string | yes | The list's edit link, whole (mahonia.app/e/CODE#token). The part after # is the write capability. |
| title | string | no | — |
| unit | string | no | The unit the list displays in. Weights are in grams regardless. |
| start_date | string | no | YYYY-MM-DD, or an empty string to clear. |
| end_date | string | no | YYYY-MM-DD, or an empty string to clear. |
| trail_url | string | no | An http(s) link, or an empty string to clear the trail and everything that came with it (label, distance, climb, route). |
| trail_label | string | no | — |
| trail_distance_km | number | no | Stored in metres and shown in the list's own distance unit. |
- Every tool — any call limit is its publisher’s, not ours
- No card, and mcprush charges nothing for it
- Runs at its publisher’s own address — this marketplace is not in the path
- Nothing to cap, because mcprush bills nothing
What counts against your monthly calls
| Tool | Unit | Calls used | Out of the allowance |

Nothing here is billable: mcprush charges nothing to install Mahonia or to call it, at any volume.
Two independent axes, because powerful and malicious are different questions. The grade is threat only. The capability level is blast radius, and it is never a penalty on the grade — it is priced as one subtract-only term in the score, where you can see it.
This listing is an address its publisher runs, and you connect to it directly — this marketplace is not in the path. The scanner reads packages and public source, and an address is neither: the repository linked on this page is where this record was collected from, not a copy of what the address serves, so it is not graded in its place. So there is no grade — not a withheld one, an unmeasured one.
Release history
This is an address its publisher runs: which release it serves is theirs to choose, so there is nothing here to pin. The history below is for reading; the current release on file is 1.0.0.
No release note was published with this version.
One review per account, from a signed-in account that does not publish this listing. Nothing else is asked — you can say what you think before you install it. Publishers can reply once per review, and a review can be edited or deleted by whoever wrote it.
Any signed-in account that does not publish Mahonia can review it, once — before installing it or after. A review from an account that has installed it is marked as one.
Nobody has reviewed this listing. The rating on the card is the mean of the reviews written here and nothing else, so there is no rating until somebody writes the first — which takes a signed-in account that does not publish it, and nothing else.
