Local MCP capabilities provider for Expo
Nothing to run from here
The MCP Census is installed from its publisher's own source and answers where it runs, so this marketplace is not in the path of a single call. There is no address here to send one to, and a panel that pretended otherwise would be showing you an answer we made up. Install it and call it from your own client — the Installation tab has the entry for each one.

What it does
Vet any MCP server before you depend on it. Stamp: PASS, REVIEW, or BLOCK.
Quickstart
# 1 — add it to Claude Code
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http the-mcp-census https://api.mcpcensus.com/mcp
# 2 — ask your agent for something these tools do
# census_lookup, census_search, census_stats and 12 more
The MCP Census costs nothing on mcprush: there is no plan to choose here, no cap to set and nothing mcprush can bill you for.

Installation
Where are you running it?
Every route below installs the same thing and ends at the same approval screen. Nothing here runs on your machine and nothing runs on ours: this server answers at its publisher’s own address, and what you install is the connection straight to it.
Claude Codedeclared by this listing
This is a public server: it answers at its publisher’s own address and this marketplace is not in the path. Claude Code registers it in one command; --scope user makes it available in every project. The transport below is http, as the publisher's own manifest declares it.
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http the-mcp-census https://api.mcpcensus.com/mcpReconnect, or start a new session, and the tools appear in the model’s tool list.
Free on mcprush, and it answers at its publisher’s own address: this marketplace is not in the path, so there is no key of ours to hold and no card to add.
What it writes
One config entry pointing straight at the publisher’s own address — this marketplace is not in the path, and nothing from this listing executes on your machine.
What you approve
15 tools, with what each one reads, writes and reaches shown before you agree — the same list on every route above. Read the tool surface.

Get the live health verdict for one MCP server by its exact registry name (e.g. 'io.github.owner/name'). Returns stars, last-push recency, gone/archived/deprecated flags, name-collision count, and a fact-based health verdict (healthy | issues | unknown).
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| name | string | yes | Exact MCP registry server name |
Search MCP servers by keyword or partial name (e.g. 'github', 'postgres'). Returns ranked matches with health/trust. Also returns: resolved_query (auto typo fix), disambiguate (when unsure), known_brand (we recognize a strong product but it has no official MCP — e.g. CodeRabbit), research (watchlist/confirmed_absent), query_intent (brand_lookup|category|package|install_gate|junk — does not change
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| query | string | yes | Keyword or partial server name (>= 2 chars). Typos and space variants are resolved when confident. |
| limit | number | no | Max results 1–50 (default 20) |
Ecosystem headline numbers from the live census (same payload as GET /v1/stats). Unmetered. Returns total servers, healthy/issues counts, popular (gh_stars>=1000), remote-capable count, github-linked count, and captured_at. No invented metrics.
No parameter schema on file.
Newest MCP servers by real first_seen_at (same payload as GET /v1/recent). Unmetered. Only rows with a known first-seen date — never invents or guesses discovery times. Optional limit 1–50 (default 20).
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| limit | number | no | Max results 1–50 (default 20) |
Public transparency report (same payload as GET /v1/coverage). Unmetered. Live D1 census/identity/remote/protocol/adoption/pipeline counts plus method notes — never invents completeness percentages or a brand_audit punch list.
No parameter schema on file.
Subscribe this agent (or a human email) to alerts for ONE specific MCP server. Fires only on real observed changes: remote_down, remote_up, health_change, verified_change, security. Requires x-api-key. Prefer webhook_url (https) so your agent can receive POST callbacks; email optional. Returns a watch id + HMAC secret (X-Census-Signature: sha256=…). Free tier: 5 watches; pro: 50.
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| server_name | string | yes | Exact registry name to watch |
| webhook_url | string | no | https URL that will receive signed POST event payloads |
| string | no | Optional human email for the same alerts | |

| label | string | no | Optional agent-chosen label |
List active per-server watches for this API key. Requires x-api-key.
No parameter schema on file.
Deactivate a watch by id. Requires x-api-key that owns the watch.
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| id | string | yes | Watch id from census_watch_subscribe |
Evaluate one exact MCP server under a documented built-in install policy. Returns PASS, REVIEW, or BLOCK with evidence reasons, freshness, digests, and explicit limits. This is a first gate, not a security audit. refresh=if_stale requires x-api-key.
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| server_name | string | yes | Exact canonical Census server name |
| policy_id | string | no | — |
| refresh | string | no | — |
List the exact immutable Preflight v1 built-in policy objects, canonical ruleset, and policy digests. Unmetered.
No parameter schema on file.
Show remaining Census credits for this API key (wallet after the UTC-month grant). Unmetered. Without a key, returns anonymous unique-per-day remaining — not a wallet.
No parameter schema on file.
Census stamp for one exact MCP server under a built-in policy. Same input as census_preflight. Returns the preflight body plus compact CENSUS-STAMP/1 text and stamp_json. Cost matches preflight. Never connect without a stamp. PASS is not a malware scan or permission review.
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| server_name | string | yes | Exact canonical Census server name |
| policy_id | string | no | — |
| refresh | string | no | — |
Contested identity for one exact server_name: official_for, name_collision_count, and up to 10 other census server_name values sharing the same namespace brand or tail. Never invents lookalikes. Cost 1.

The Census change feed (CENSUS-CHANGES/1): observed transitions across every server — server_new, remote_down, remote_up, tools_changed, health_change, verified_change, security, endpoint_moved, registry_status, spec_era_change. Cursor-paginated: pass next_cursor back as since. Filter by events, server_names or namespace_domain. Only real transitions, never 'still fine'. Unmetered in v1; poll hour

ATool-list grade · score 93 / 100
Release 1.4.0 · scanned 20 Oct 2026
Graded from the tools this server lists, not from its source code.
Two independent axes, because powerful and malicious are different questions. The grade is threat only. The capability level is blast radius, and it is never a penalty on the grade — it is priced as one subtract-only term in the score, where you can see it.

| Term | Level | What it prices | Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| capability-exposure | moderate | capability blast radius (moderate) — client exposure if the model is manipulated | −3 |
| coverage-honesty | manifest | inspection depth (manifest) — how much of the target the scan could see | −4 |
score = clamp(round(threatScore − E_cap − E_ver − E_cov), 0, 100). No model, no opinion, no network call at scoring time: the same methodology version against the same bytes always produces this number, and every line above is a field of the report rather than a summary of it.
What the scan could actually read
A grade is only as meaningful as its coverage, so the scanner publishes its own depth before it publishes its result.
The scan read each tool’s name, description, input schema and annotations exactly as the server listed them the last time it answered us; no code was reviewed. We ask the server again about once a month, and a list that changed is graded again.

Toxic-flow graph
The lethal trifecta, checked as a graph rather than as a checklist: untrusted input, a sensitive source and an external sink have to meet before there is a path worth worrying about.
The public result for this release does not print the flow graph, so there is nothing to show here. That is not the same as "no paths were found": what the scan did read is above, under coverage.

Scanned2026-10-20
This is the first scan of this surface here, so there is nothing yet to compare it against.
Every result on this tab comes from one deterministic pass over the published package — offline, rule by rule, and auditable line by line above. Same methodology version, same bytes, same score.

Who can review
One review per account, from a signed-in account that does not publish this listing. Nothing else is asked — you can say what you think before you install it. Publishers can reply once per review, and a review can be edited or deleted by whoever wrote it.
Sign in to write one
Any signed-in account that does not publish The MCP Census can review it, once — before installing it or after. A review from an account that has installed it is marked as one.
No reviews yet
Nobody has reviewed this listing. The rating on the card is the mean of the reviews written here and nothing else, so there is no rating until somebody writes the first — which takes a signed-in account that does not publish it, and nothing else.
