Alpaca Trading API integration for Model Context Protocol (MCP)
OpenAccountants is installed from its publisher's own source and answers where it runs, so this marketplace is not in the path of a single call. There is no address here to send one to, and a panel that pretended otherwise would be showing you an answer we made up. Install it and call it from your own client — the Installation tab has the entry for each one.
What it does
Open-source AI accounting skills verified by licensed accountants (tax, VAT, payroll).
Quickstart
# 1 — add it to Claude Code
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http openaccountants-mcp https://www.openaccountants.com/api/mcp
# 2 — ask your agent for something these tools do
# start, search_skills, get_skill and 12 more
OpenAccountants costs nothing on mcprush: there is no plan to choose here, no cap to set and nothing mcprush can bill you for.
Collected from a public index. Nobody has claimed this account, so nothing here was written by its author — claim it if it is yours.
Where are you running it?
Every route below installs the same thing and ends at the same approval screen. Nothing here runs on your machine and nothing runs on ours: this server answers at its publisher’s own address, and what you install is the connection straight to it.
This is a public server: it answers at its publisher’s own address and this marketplace is not in the path. Claude Code registers it in one command; --scope user makes it available in every project. The transport below is http, as the publisher's own manifest declares it.
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http openaccountants-mcp https://www.openaccountants.com/api/mcpReconnect, or start a new session, and the tools appear in the model’s tool list.
One config entry pointing straight at the publisher’s own address — this marketplace is not in the path, and nothing from this listing executes on your machine.
15 tools, with what each one reads, writes and reaches shown before you agree — the same list on every route above. Read the tool surface.

Call this first for any tax, VAT/GST, payroll or filing question about a country or US state, such as "how much tax will I pay in Spain", "do I need to register for VAT", "when is my tax return due", "is this deductible", "how is a freelancer or a company taxed in Germany", "sales tax in Texas" or "what changes if I move to Portugal". | Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| intent | string | yes | Required. The user's question or goal in their own words, e.g. 'how much tax will I pay as a freelancer', 'VAT return', 'set up a company'. |
| jurisdiction | string | no | Country or US state: ISO 2-letter code, US state code or name (e.g. 'MT', 'GB', 'US-CA', 'Florida'). Omit if the user named none; start infers it when the question makes it clear. |
| acting_as | string | no | Optional. Who the user is: 'self' = a taxpayer handling their own taxes; 'client' = a professional working on a client's behalf. Infer it from the conversation; omit it if unclear. |
| reason | string | no | One sentence, in the user's own words, on what they actually asked for here — captured only to improve routing. E.g. 'user sold ETH and wants to know what to report'. Optional but helpful. |
| taxpayer_type | string | no | The taxpayer's occupation, when known. Some return-prep workflows fork by it (an employee's Form 1040 is a different guide from a freelancer's). Pass it if the conversation already makes it clear; oth |
Find the Guide for a specific tax topic by keyword: a deduction, form, regime or rule such as 'home office deduction', 'Schedule C', 'reverse charge', 'crypto capital gains' or 'Beckham regime'. | domain | string | no | Optional accounting domain to limit the search (e.g. 'vat-gst', 'payroll', 'income-tax', 'crypto'). |
| content_type | string | no | What kind of Guide to find. 'method' = step-by-step procedures you EXECUTE via start() (formerly 'workflows'); 'fact' or omitted = reference material (rates/thresholds/rules). A Guide can be either or |
Open a Guide by slug (from start, search_skills or search_rules) to answer the user's question. Returns the Guide's rules and method, its quality tier, the named accountant where one reviewed it, a section_index of sections not inlined, and a provenance footer to keep with the answer.
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| slug | string | yes | Skill slug, e.g. 'us-schedule-c-and-se-computation' |
| reason | string | no | One sentence on WHY you're making this call, in the user's terms (for routing analysis only). Optional. |
Look up tax rates, thresholds and rules in one or many jurisdictions, such as 'VAT rates in MT, IE and DE', 'income tax brackets for 2025' or 'rules mentioning reverse charge'. Returns a bundled markdown rule set plus each jurisdiction's official source (official_source). For one specific figure in one jurisdiction a Guide is often more complete (search_skills then get_skill): a figure can sit i

| topic | string | no | Filter by a fact topic. |
| text | string | no | Free-text search over each rule's label, value, and citation. |

| reason | string | no | One sentence on WHY you're making this call, in the user's terms (for routing analysis only). Optional. |
Browse the Guides for one jurisdiction or domain (for example every Guide for 'MT', or every 'payroll' Guide), each with its quality tier and verification status. For a specific topic, search_skills is quicker. Filter by jurisdiction, domain or role ('foundation' | 'compute' | 'orchestrator' | 'reference'). Paginated (default 100, max 200); page with offset/next_offset.
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| jurisdiction | string | no | Filter by jurisdiction code, e.g. 'US', 'MT', 'DE' |
| domain | string | no | Filter by accounting domain: income-tax, vat-gst, payroll, bookkeeping, e-invoicing, formation, financial-statements, transfer-pricing, tax-optimization, crypto, cross-border, corporate-tax, estate-we |

| limit | integer | no | Max skills to return (default 100, max 200). |
| offset | integer | no | Number of skills to skip — use the next_offset from the previous response to page through results (default 0). |
Follow-up to get_skill: fetch sections it listed in section_index as not inlined (for example a supplier-pattern library). Pass section_index for one section, or omit it to get every section with its heading and markdown.
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| slug | string | yes | Skill slug |
| section_index | integer | no | Optional. Return only this section (matches the index from get_skill's section_index). |
| section_indices | array | no | Optional. Return only these sections. |
Filing and payment deadlines for a country or US state: 'when is my tax return due', 'when do I file VAT', 'when is the next instalment'. Returns upcoming dates and recurring filing rhythms (monthly VAT, quarterly instalments) from the OpenAccountants tax calendar. Signed-in users with a saved home jurisdiction can omit jurisdiction; the response marks jurisdiction_source.
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| jurisdiction | string | no | ISO code, slug, or name ('MT', 'US-CA', 'Malta'). Optional for signed-in users with a saved home jurisdiction. |
| horizon_days | integer | no | How far ahead to look (default 120, max 366). |
Helper for search_rules: lists the values you can filter on (live jurisdictions, domains, roles, rule kinds, statuses, tax years, a sample of topics) and the defaults. Takes no arguments. Use it when unsure of a filter value rather than guessing.
No parameter schema on file.
Call when the user has no tax question yet and opens with 'what can you do?', 'how can you help me?' or 'where do I start?'. Takes no arguments. Returns the two scoping questions plus the available intents and jurisdictions; for a signed-in approved accountant, a short personal orientation briefing instead. Once there is a question, call start.
No parameter schema on file.
Answers 'which countries do you cover?' or 'what is there for [country]?'. Returns every jurisdiction with published Guides (countries as ISO 2, US states as US-XX, Canadian provinces) with Guide counts, accountant-reviewed counts and the named lead accountant where there is one.
No parameter schema on file.
Answers 'who reviewed this?' or 'which accountants are behind this?'. Returns the named licensed accountants who have signed off on OpenAccountants jurisdictions, with their credentials and the jurisdictions they cover.
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| jurisdiction | string | no | Optional ISO code filter — only return verifiers for this jurisdiction. |
Call ONLY when the user has asked what OpenAccountants charges, asked for a quote, or asked whether their current accountant's fee is fair. Returns the anchors (fees we have actually quoted, with what they cover), how we price, the guard rails, a minimum, and the ways to confirm. It returns no number: you work out a fair estimate for the user's country and volume from the anchors, in their currenc
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| jurisdiction | string | no | The client's country (ISO code or name). Logged so we know where demand is; not used to price. |

| current_fee | string | no | What they pay today, if they said. Logged; useful for the fairness question. |
| reason | string | no | One sentence on WHY you're making this call, in the user's terms (for routing analysis only). Optional. |

Only when the user asks: sends their feedback, or their request for a person to check or do the work, to OpenAccountants. Two modes. (1) note: an anonymized note about the guidance (a gap, a workaround you needed, or via skill_slug a bug in a specific Guide). Anonymize hard: no names, amounts, or PII. - Nothing to cap, because mcprush bills nothing
What counts against your monthly calls
| Tool | Unit | Calls used | Out of the allowance |
|---|
Nothing here is billable: mcprush charges nothing to install OpenAccountants or to call it, at any volume.
Two independent axes, because powerful and malicious are different questions. The grade is threat only. The capability level is blast radius, and it is never a penalty on the grade — it is priced as one subtract-only term in the score, where you can see it.
The scanner has read version 0.1.1 of this listing, but not the release on the shelf, so neither a grade nor a report is shown for it here. Nothing on this tab is ever borrowed from another release or another listing.
Release history
This is an address its publisher runs: which release it serves is theirs to choose, so there is nothing here to pin. The history below is for reading; the current release on file is 1.0.0.
- The version this listing was on when mcprush began following its releases. The registry was not asked when it shipped, so this row carries no date.
No release note was published with this version.
One review per account, from a signed-in account that does not publish this listing. Nothing else is asked — you can say what you think before you install it. Publishers can reply once per review, and a review can be edited or deleted by whoever wrote it.
Any signed-in account that does not publish OpenAccountants can review it, once — before installing it or after. A review from an account that has installed it is marked as one.
Nobody has reviewed this listing. The rating on the card is the mean of the reviews written here and nothing else, so there is no rating until somebody writes the first — which takes a signed-in account that does not publish it, and nothing else.
