Comprehensive Model Context Protocol server for managing Home Assistant through AI assistants.
Nothing to run from here
Parks Open is installed from its publisher's own source and answers where it runs, so this marketplace is not in the path of a single call. There is no address here to send one to, and a panel that pretended otherwise would be showing you an answer we made up. Install it and call it from your own client — the Installation tab has the entry for each one.

Installation
Where are you running it?
Every route below installs the same thing and ends at the same approval screen. Nothing here runs on your machine and nothing runs on ours: this server answers at its publisher’s own address, and what you install is the connection straight to it.
Claude Codedeclared by this listing
This is a public server: it answers at its publisher’s own address and this marketplace is not in the path. Claude Code registers it in one command; --scope user makes it available in every project. The transport below is http, as the publisher's own manifest declares it.
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http parks-open-mcp https://parksopen.ca/api/mcpReconnect, or start a new session, and the tools appear in the model’s tool list.
Free on mcprush, and it answers at its publisher’s own address: this marketplace is not in the path, so there is no key of ours to hold and no card to add.
What it writes
One config entry pointing straight at the publisher’s own address — this marketplace is not in the path, and nothing from this listing executes on your machine.
What you approve
8 tools, with what each one reads, writes and reaches shown before you agree — the same list on every route above. Read the tool surface.

What the model actually sees. Descriptions are diffed on every release — see version history.
Use this when exact dates or equipment fit matter, for questions like 'is X available', 'find a site for the long weekend', or 'which parks have space for a 32 ft RV'. It reads observed campsite availability for BC Parks and limited Ontario Parks coverage (15 reservation locations, frontcountry camping only). Ontario camping alerts are not enabled. Filters the official sites cannot: exact equipmen
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| start_date | string | yes | arrival, YYYY-MM-DD |
| end_date | string | yes | departure, YYYY-MM-DD (exclusive; nights = end − start) |
| park | string | no | park name — approximate is fine (partial, missing 'Provincial', misspelled). Omit to search every park. If it cannot be resolved you get a did-you-mean list. |
| system | string | no | reservation system id, e.g. bc_parks. Omit for every tracked system. |
| province | string | no | province code or URL prefix (bc, on, …) — an alternative to system. |
| category | string | no | booking category; default frontcountry (drive-in campsites) |
| equipment_class | string | no | canonical class (tent, tent2, tent3, van, trailer_18, rv_32, rv_32_plus) or free text like '30ft trailer'. Default tent. |
| amenities | array | no | ANDed site attributes: electrical, waterfront, pets, some_shade, full_shade, double, near_restroom, walk_in, accessible, pull_through, private, big_rig |
| min_privacy | string | no | 'Good' or 'Excellent' |
| limit | integer | no | page size, default 20 |
| cursor | string | no | opaque cursor from a previous page |
Use this when the user asks 'when is X free', 'how busy is X', or 'which weekend should I try' for ONE named park. It returns nightly open counts for the next 8 weeks, whole-stay counts for four weekends, fill rate, and booking rules. For exact equipment fit or specific dates across many parks use parksopen_search_campsites.
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| park | string | yes | park name — approximate is fine |
| system | string | no | reservation system id, e.g. bc_parks |
| province | string | no | province code or prefix, e.g. bc |
| days | integer | no | — |
Use this when the user has not named a park and wants PARKS ranked by soonest opening or estimated drive time, such as 'where can I camp this weekend' or 'anything near Vancouver with space'. It uses the default tent-compatible inventory and can filter confirmed amenities. Do not use it when van, trailer, RV, or other equipment fit matters; use parksopen_search_campsites with equipment_class. For

| province | string | no | province code or URL prefix (bc, on, …) — an alternative to system. |
| weekend | boolean | no | this coming weekend (Fri→Sun, 2 nights) |
| start_date | string | no | a specific arrival date; omit to find the soonest opening |
| nights | integer | no | default 2 (weekend) or 1 |
| horizon_days | integer | no | how far ahead to look when no date is fixed; default 14 |
| near_city | string | no | rank by drive time from this city (Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo, Whistler, Kelowna, Kamloops, Cranbrook, Prince George, Fort St. John, Toronto, Ottawa) |
| region | string | no | restrict to a region name as the site shows it, e.g. 'Vancouver Island' |
| amenities | array | no | ANDed site attributes (confirmed-only; the count is a floor) |
| limit | integer | no | — |
Use this when checking current closures, fire bans, advisories, or nearby wildfires for one park or system-wide. Run it before recommending a park in summer; these are 'verify before you travel' notices, never a booking or safety claim.
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| system | string | no | reservation system id, e.g. bc_parks. Omit for the default system. |
| province | string | no | province code or URL prefix (bc, on, …) — an alternative to system. |
| park | string | no | park name; omit for a system-wide summary |
Use this when the user asks about forecast conditions or air quality at a named park. It returns the Environment Canada forecast (daily high/low/conditions, about 6 days) and AQHI for the nearest station; if the park is beyond range it says so and never invents temperatures.
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| system | string | no | reservation system id, e.g. bc_parks. Omit for the default system. |
| province | string | no | province code or URL prefix (bc, on, …) — an alternative to system. |
| park | string | yes | park name |
Use this when the user asks whether a BC Parks day-use pass is required, available, sold out, not released yet, or closed for a date, park, access area, or AM/PM slot. It returns the access areas currently covered by live checks across a three-day booking window, with explicit No pass needed versus Sold out states, freshness, coverage limits, the Parks Open comparison page, and the official BC Par

| parks | array | no | optional park names, e.g. ['Golden Ears', 'Garibaldi']; omit to return every tracked day-pass park |
Use this when the user asks about reservation policy, fees, pets, fires, facilities, or park descriptions, such as 'does X allow dogs' or 'when do reservations open'. Verified policy knowledge currently covers BC Parks only; other systems return an explicit unsupported answer with the official source. Specify system or province for general policy questions; without a park or system the scope is BC

| question | string | yes | what you want to know (fees, pets, fires, showers, reservations policy…) |
| park | string | no | park name, when the question is about one park |
| system | string | no | reservation system id, e.g. bc_parks |
| province | string | no | province code or prefix, e.g. bc |
Use this when a search is complete, or when the user already knows the park and dates, to create a deterministic official reservation link with park, dates, and equipment pre-filled. The user completes the booking there; Parks Open never books, holds sites, takes payment, or treats the link itself as proof of availability.

No rule-by-rule report on file for this release
Two independent axes, because powerful and malicious are different questions. The grade is threat only. The capability level is blast radius, and it is never a penalty on the grade — it is priced as one subtract-only term in the score, where you can see it.
This listing is an address its publisher runs, and you connect to it directly — this marketplace is not in the path. The scanner reads packages and public source, and an address is neither. So there is no grade — not a withheld one, an unmeasured one.

Who can review
One review per account, from a signed-in account that does not publish this listing. Nothing else is asked — you can say what you think before you install it. Publishers can reply once per review, and a review can be edited or deleted by whoever wrote it.
Sign in to write one
Any signed-in account that does not publish Parks Open can review it, once — before installing it or after. A review from an account that has installed it is marked as one.
No reviews yet
Nobody has reviewed this listing. The rating on the card is the mean of the reviews written here and nothing else, so there is no rating until somebody writes the first — which takes a signed-in account that does not publish it, and nothing else.
